In June 2015, Norman Morrissey and Silke Heiss facilitated a weekend writing workshop at the Edge Mountain Retreat in their home village, Hogsback. Out of that workshop grew the Give Your Writing The Edge monthly newsletter, which they disseminated free of charge since July 2015, to help strengthen the human marrow by means of poetry. After Norman's death in July 2017, Silke continued to produce the monthly newsletter until June 2019. She has maintained the Facebook page, which has served to market her book, Greater Matter, as well as her farewell tribute to Hogsback, Sweet Nothings (with Notebook), which she launched on February 21st 2020). She continues to offer Give Your Writing The Edge workshops, as well as the popular Hiku Hikes on demand.
